    Once a row of ageing garages, the site was reimagined through close dialogue with residents and careful contextual study. The proposal transforms hardstanding into a contemporary collection of homes set within generous shared gardens, fostering calm, connection, and community.

    A vacant commercial building became an opportunity to address the local need for smaller homes. Informed by studies of urban grain and materiality, the scheme delivers high-density living with a strong sense of individuality, fitting comfortably within its urban context.

    Formerly a neglected storage yard, the steeply sloping site inspired a secluded home developed in close collaboration with the council. The design responds sensitively to site levels while preserving wider landscape views, creating a calm and private retreat.

    Evolving from the footprint of a former stable block beside natural ponds, this landscape-led home strengthens the relationship between living spaces, water, and wildlife. Natural materials and generous openings create a contemporary dwelling quietly embedded in its rural setting.
